Beneficiaries
In addition to this technical assistance, DESWORDZMAN benefited from a seminar organized by SoFFReL that focused on emerging technologies in the blacksmithing industry. This seminar provided insights into innovative techniques and tools that can enhance traditional craftsmanship, equipping DESWORDZMAN makers with the knowledge to further refine their skills and expand their capabilities in sword-making.
Additionally, from July 6-8, 2022, SoFFReL organized a specialized training program for the engineering and architecture faculty, focusing on 3D Printing and Design. This training equipped educators with essential insights into additive manufacturing, enabling them to better guide their students in this rapidly evolving field.
Moreover, engineering and architecture students from Universidad de Dagupan have been conducting their thesis research at SoFFReL, specifically related to additive manufacturing. This hands-on experience allows students to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting, contributing to their academic and professional development.
Furthermore, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between Universidad de Dagupan and SoFFReL in May 2021. This agreement formalizes the collaboration on research projects centered on additive manufacturing.
In addition to the seminars, SoFFReL provided ongoing technical assistance and consultation for research projects at UCNHS. This support enables students and teachers to explore new possibilities in their research, applying advanced 3D printing technologies to solve real-world challenges.
