Representatives from DOST Region 1 led by Dr. Teresita A. Tabaog, OIC Regional Director, and former Regional Director, Dr. Armando Q. Ganal made a courtesy visit to PSU-Urdaneta.

They were welcomed by Dr. Roy Ferrer, the newly appointed Campus Executive Director, and REIGn officials led by Dr. Razeale Resultay, Vice President for Research, Extension, and Innovation, to discuss the launch of the DOST-PCIEERD funded project, Solid Freeform Fabrication Research Laboratory (SOFFReL) which is worth approximately 7 million pesos.

Engineer Rex B. Basuel, Center Head of Machine Innovation and Technology Automation, also gave a brief presentation on the application, current partnerships, potential collaborations, and challenges faced by 3D printing technology.

Additionally, Engr. Quincy Jones Bundal, Center Head of Salt Technology and Innovation, speaks briefly about the Sea Salt Center’s identified and potential projects. DOST officials provided input and suggestions to improve the proposals and strengthen the two centers’ research and development. This is part of the continuous improvement and commitment of the university to research and development.

Dr. Romary Lincod, Director of Gender and Development Office; Dr. Randy Ventayen, Director of Research and Development; Dr. Jeff G. Pereyras, Director of Innovation; Dr. Armando Junio, Director of Extension Services; Dr. Paulo Cenas, Former Vice President of Research and Extension; and Provincial Director of DOST Engr. Arnold C. Santos and Ms. Jennifer Fernandez of DOST were also present.
